Reporting to the Director of Strategy, the Operational Excellence Lead / Product Owner will be responsible for helping to set the vision and road-map to achieve operational excellence within the business and driving all associated changes.  They will work with stakeholders across the business to undertake a review of the current processes, ensure they’re documented & work with the business areas to improve, simplify and automate using best practice technology.  They will play a key role in ensuring the business scales efficiently and our processes are designed to enable a seamless customer experience whilst also driving a culture of continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

Operational Excellence Product Owner Support the definition of the Operational Excellence vision, road-map and optimisation opportunities.  Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise in order to deliver and execute solutions and process improvement which provide the most value to the business

Best Practice Undertake analysis of specific business process and provide effective solution for improvements through a combination of streamlining, automation or organisational change.

Process Documentation Document, own, optimise and continuously improve PremFina’s processes

Risk and controls Working together with Risk & Compliance, establish controls for sustainable process changes and create BAU process capability to operationalised improvements or new processes considering risks and required controls in parallel

Mentoring and coaching Upskill the business as required on operational excellence and help embed a culture of continuous improvement

Leadership Lead, develop and motivate a small team of Client Services Specialists who are responsible for back-office processes

Our ideal teammate has experience with/knowledge in

• Extensive skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering
• Knowledge of robotics process automation (RPA) and Intelligent process automation (IPA) capabilities to aid in the automation of processes
• Experience of delivering continuous improvement change in a financial services environment
• Digital advocate with a passion for new concepts, best practices and tools including a data led approach to analytics and problem solving (including Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Design thinking etc)
• Ability to act as an agent for change, challenge status quo and obtain support and buy-in for improvement projects. Be able to influence without authority
• Proven track record in delivering change & process transformation
• Deep expertise in business process design aligned to strong analytical capabilities
• Experience in conducting, facilitating and leading business process improvement workshops or similar
• In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles

You will get brownie points for

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent level qualification
• Operational Excellence / Agile qualifications desired e.g. Lean Six Sigma
• Previous working experience within Premium Finance industry
